My goal in painting portraits is to capture the personality of each subject, whether it is the innocence and wonder of a child or the wisdom and strength of an adult. I am inspired by what I sense in the faces of people. Every time I study a subject, I find something else in them that recaptures my interest. I search out particulars that make each person unique and beautiful in their own way, thus creating an image that never bores me and results in a truly "one of its kind" painting. I am honored when people ask me to do their portrait, and love each step of the process.
